Liquidity moves the market. Price moves to areas of high liquidity away from an area with a lack of orders as market movers need fuel to reach the next objective. Because of this, a strong DOL/LRLR or both is required to take a trade. The second key way price moves is to rebalance the market. This is because buyers/sellers want to get a more premium/discounted price so will rebalance inefficiencies causing a temporary retrace in the market. This makes DOL's and FVG's the single most important confluences in the market.
Entry rules
- 1:1 RR minimum (or just below)
- HTF delivery
- Aligns with HTF bias
- Strong DOL
- iFVG or CISD entry
Invalidation
- No true manipulation
- against an external SMT
- Lack of both LRLR AND a strong DOL
- No trades after 11:00 unless its A+
Stop loss and take profit
- 1:1 with SL at swing low or below inception gaps
- at candle body if there is a change in the state
Author's checklist 1
- Ranking DOL's from highest to lowest:
- Data Highs/Lows, NWOG and NDOG CE, ATH/ATL(very rare since NQ and ES are expanding markets) with LR (these will get hit 85-90% of the time if used correctly)
- UF Daily or weekly gaps, and their respective ITH/ITL, EQH/EQL (all extremely strong, will get hit 80-85% of the time)
- UF 4h/ 4H ITH/ITL, REQH/REQL (if there is a visible sweep, then it is not a REQH/REQL). High quality LRLR (must have a draw with it though)
- 1H, 30m, 15m FVG's and ITH/ITL
- Swing highs/lows not relatively equal
- Session highs/lows (generally they are going to be key Swing points however they should only be used as small added confluence, not as the main draw), PDH/PDL (unless combined with a better draw)
Author's checklist 2
- List of all confluences ranked from Most to Least important
- FVG's (15m+, but 3 or 5m for continuations/BE points), DOL's (including LR), Liquidity Sweeps, Time(best are LDN/NYAM, especially the NYAM macro due to the 10am po3), BPR.
- HTF narrative (MMXM too) (respecting vs disrespecting HTF gaps), True manipulation, equilibrium
- iFVG's, strong displacement, external SMT's, rejection blocks
- CISD's, internal SMT's (1m-), inception gaps, breakaway gaps, OTE levels
- Order blocks, Breaker Blocks (rarely used)
