EUR/USD Asia Session Sweep + 5M BOS

Shared by a BacktestingMax trader on 1 Oct 2026

The strategy trades EUR/USD after the Asia session by waiting for price to sweep the Asia High or Asia Low, then using the 5-minute Break of Structure (BOS) to confirm the direction of the trade. The trade must follow the 4H directional bias. The sweep alone is not an entry; the 5M BOS provides the entry confirmation.

Entry rules

  1. 1. Higher-Timeframe Bias Determine the directional bias on the 4H timeframe before looking for an entry. 2. Asia Session Wait for the Asia session to close and identify the Asia High and Asia Low. 3. Bearish Setup If the 4H bias is bearish, wait for price to sweep the Asia High. After the sweep, move to the 5M timeframe and wait for a bearish Break of Structure (BOS). 4. Bullish Setup If the 4H bias is bullish, wait for price to sweep the Asia Low. After the sweep, move to the 5M timeframe and wait for a bullish Break of Structure (BOS). 5. Entry Enter only after the required 5M BOS occurs. Do not enter immediately after the Asia High/Low sweep. 6. Direction Trade only in the direction of the 4H bias. Do not take the opposite direction simply because the opposite Asia level was swept.

Invalidation

  1. 1. No 5M BOS = no entry. 2. If the Asia High/Low is not swept = no setup. 3. If the sweep direction does not match the 4H bias = do not take the trade. 4. Do not take a trade in the opposite direction simply because the opposite Asia level is swept. 5. If the setup does not provide the required 1:2 OR more Risk-to-Reward structure, do not take the trade.

Stop loss and take profit

  1. Stop Loss — Short For a bearish setup, place the Stop Loss above the relevant sweep/entry structure according to the setup. 2. Stop Loss — Long For a bullish setup, place the Stop Loss below the relevant sweep/entry structure according to the setup. 3. Risk Risk 0.5% of the account per trade. 4. Take Profit Use a 1:2 OR more Risk-to-Reward ratio.
